Conditions
Multiple sclerosis (MS)
At Physio + Health Matters we understand the impact that MS has on people’s lives.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that affects your brain and spinal cord. In MS, the coating that protects your nerves (myelin) is damaged. The nervous system links everything your body does, so MS can cause many different types of symptoms. You might have problems with your vision, balance, walking or emotions.
Everyone’s MS is different. There’s no typical pattern that applies to everyone. People can have different symptoms at different times and no two people will have the same type of symptoms.
There is no cure for MS yet, but there are lots of ways to manage the symptoms. For many people, there are also drugs that can slow it down.
