Conditions

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) / Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

At Physio & Health Matters we strive to help people who have suffered from a brain injury whether it has been acquired or through trauma.

The brain damage is often complex and can impact on all areas of your life. Often ABI and TBI require input from a team of specialist clinicians. Working with an MDT is a key part of holistic care an essential in assisting recovery.

There were nearly 350,000 admissions to hospital last year in the UK. This is a rise of 10% over the last decade. Men are more likely to have an ABI compared to women, but the rates of women having an ABI are increasing.
