When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my large family and looking after my 5 cats. Love a good book, good coffee and a good drama on the tv – not necessarily in that order 🙂

Sharvari Chitnis

Sharvari has recently completed her Masters in Advanced Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University and joined our team in May 2022. She is registered with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (MCSP). 

Sharvari completed her Bachelors in Physiotherapy (BPTh) from India in 2019. After graduation, she started working as a physiotherapist in India and handled various cases in musculoskeletal, neurological, geriatric and sports injuries. She also worked as a physiotherapist in various sports events such as Marathons and also volunteered for camps in rural areas of India to raise the awareness and importance of physiotherapy. She has treated patients in various domains, however, her main area of interest is Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy i.e., treating patients with muscle, bone and joint injuries. 

Sharvari believes in following a holistic approach with regards to delivering treatment to the patients. Treating a patient as a whole helps in achieving better results which in turn helps to regain functional independence. She demonstrates effective clinical reasoning and decision-making skills and has the ability to manage complex clinical cases. 

Sharvari loves dance, music and likes to socialize with her friends in her spare time. She is looking forward to making a significant contribution to her clients.

Afsah Asad

Afsah Asad joined the team in April 2022 having recently completed her Masters degree in Advancing Physiotherapy Practice from Coventry University. She had previously graduated with her degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Pakistan in 2019 and since then has worked with North-East London Foundation NHS Trust, Falls Team, and with John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford in Complex Medicine Unit and Covid Ward.

Afsah is a Chartered Physiotherapist (MCSP) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

With particular expertise in Musculoskeletal & Neurological Rehabilitation, Sports Massage, Women’s Health, Balance, and Strength training, Afsah is already proving to be a valuable member of the team.

Kiran Sharma

Physio & Health Matters was set up in May 2000 at a time of change in her life. Over the years it has evolved into a thriving business. They are now in multiple locations and their main aim is to provide the clients and the local communities with a high quality professional service.

Kiran’s main interest area has been the sacro iliac joint and the spine as a whole; with a bias towards bio-mechanics and how the two interact. Bio-mechanics and the sacro iliac joint are two areas that have historically been poorly understood. She would like to have the time to look further into these two specialisms and write her own course and teach, to aid a better understanding within her peer group.

The journey of setting up the business and developing it has taught a many lessons and helped to shape in to the person she is today; for that she is grateful.

In 2012 Kiran was very fortunate to be selected to be a part of the Paralympics medical squad. That was a wonderful experience, that she will always cherish. She loves the outdoors and animals. In Kiran’s spare time she enjoys running, going to the gym and spending time with her family.

Misha Sharma

Misha has worked as an office administrator/receptionist for Physio and Health Matters for about nine years now.

Over the years being on reception she has met all sorts of lovely people. She enjoys seeing people’s progression and it makes her proud to be a part of such an amazing team.

In her spare time Misha enjoys socialising and takes a keen interest in makeup and beauty and currently working towards gaining more qualifications within the industry.
