Maintenance physiotherapy aims to restore and maintain maximum movement and functionality of the body throughout the lifespan, it is known to improve impairment, pain levels, and quality of life. During regular maintenance sessions, the physiotherapist would create a maintenance plan and incorporate a variety of treatments such as manual therapy, soft tissue massage, acupuncture, electrotherapy and exercise therapy to address any muscle tension or issues with movement, posture, or alignment. The treatment plan would be reviewed regularly to ensure clients are progressing well with exercises and daily life activities. Clients could also seek assistance and advice during the regular physiotherapy sessions for any new problems that arise so they could be assessed and treated as soon as possible to prevent recurring injuries.

Maintenance physiotherapy is great for:

  • Athletes or gym users who would like to prevent injuries and maintain performance
  • Desk workers with neck and shoulder pain or stiffness
  • People with chronic conditions such as osteoarthritis, back pain, or neurological conditions
  • People experiencing joint pain or muscle tension and would like to maintain best body performance

Please note that maintenance sessions can be booked on an ad-hoc check-up / service appointment basis as well as part of a scheduled programme.
