From the head, shoulders, knees and toes to the very ‘core’ of physiotherapy practice

In this series of submissions, Amie Button* from our Knowle clinic illustrates that physiotherapy can help with issues from the head to the toes and everything in between.

“From the head…” an introduction

  • Neurological disorders arise from damage to the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerves and may include stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s, Cerebral Palsy (CP) and traumatic head injury.
  •  “Rehabilitation” describes a collaborative process between client and physiotherapist which aims to enhance quality of life by improving physical functioning and promoting independence. Must be client centred and goal orientated.
