Conditions

DIABETIC NEUROPATHY

Diabetic neuropathies are a group of disorders secondary to diabetes which cause damage to the nerves. Symptoms vary depending on the nerve affected but may include numbness and tingling of the extremities, fasciculation and muscle weakness.; the pathological reason for these disorders is complicated and therefore medical treatment is sometimes limited.

Physio & Health Matters have recently acquired a Neurocare machine which is specifically developed for the treatment of such conditions. It works by electronically stimulating the muscles by enhancing the circulation to the region.

Treatment for this condition may also incorporate Acupuncture for relaxation and stress management in addition to participation in our Fit Club to improve your lifestyle, general health and wellbeing.
