Conditions

Stroke

Physio + Health Matters we strive to help stroke survivors in a wide range of ways.

Most strokes (85%) are due to a blocked blood vessel in the brain. This is called an ischaemic stroke or sometimes called a clot on the brain. There is a less common (15%) type of stroke called a haemorrhage, or bleed on the brain

The brain damage that is caused by a stroke is often complex and can impact on all areas of your life. It has been shown that people who have a stroke have better outcomes when they are treated by a specialist clinician.

Physio + Health Matters have over 20 years’ experience and a team of specialist clinicians to support you in your rehabilitation needs. We have a range of options including (but not limited to)

  • Hands on therapy

  • Spasticity management / Botulinum toxin injections
  • Orthotics and biomechanics assessment
